Read moreShould You Buy a Clearance 2026 HR-V or Upgrade to the 2027?
The 2027 Honda HR-V has now arrived at Honda Île-Perrot, while we still have a few 2026 HR-V models available in inventory. This naturally raises the question: is it better to take advantage of discounts on a 2026 model, or opt for the brand-new 2027?
The answer mainly depends on your priorities. Both models are built on the same proven platform, offer the same powertrain, and retain the qualities that have made the HR-V a success: versatility, reliability, comfort, and efficiency. The choice is therefore not simply about old versus new, but rather about which option best fits your needs and budget.
Why Choose the 2026 HR-V Clearance Model
The 2026 HR-V is currently being cleared out now that the 2027 has arrived. This is the ideal opportunity to get a nearly new vehicle at a price below the original MSRP. The 2026 version is ideal if you:
- Want the best possible price on a new HR-V
- Want to use the savings for accessories or an extended protection plan
- Are a first-time buyer looking to maximize your budget
The remaining 2026 models represent a limited-time opportunity — once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Why Choose the Newly Arrived 2027 HR-V
The 2027 HR-V is the newest available model, featuring the latest Honda Sensing® updates and a current model year for future resale value. The 2027 version is ideal if you:
- Plan to keep your vehicle for several years and want the most up-to-date model
- Care about medium-term resale value
- Want the very latest version of Honda Sensing®
What You Get in Both Cases: An SUV That Exceeds Expectations For its Size

- Surprising space: With 1,559 litres of cargo capacity when the seats are folded down, the HR-V easily handles bikes, paddleboards, large luggage, or weekend shopping trips.
- Simplified technology: Wireless charging, a 7-inch TFT display in the dashboard, and wireless smartphone integration create a connected driving experience from the moment you start driving.
- Standard safety: Honda Sensing® comes on every trim — including emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow.
