This is an excellent opportunity to highlight her achievements, strength of character, and growing influence, while promoting gender equality in the automotive sector. We are pleased to introduce Alexandra Pharand, Sales Consultant, whose experiences and reflections, shared through a brief questionnaire, offer a true source of inspiration.
Q: How long have you been working in the automotive field?
A: “It’s been a little over a year now.”
Q: What attracted you to this field?
A: “I’ve always been a big Honda fan. I started riding a scooter at 14 and have loved the brand ever since. When a friend suggested I sell vehicles, I wasn’t sure at first… but I quickly changed my mind!”
Q: Which position(s) have you held?
A: “I’m a Sales Consultant—this is my very first job in this field.”
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in this industry?
A: “I had already worked in a male-dominated environment before, so I didn’t face a specific challenge related to being a woman. Mostly, learning the job—like really knowing each model—was the main challenge.”
Q: What is your greatest pride in your automotive career?
A: “Representing THE brand I’ve been passionate about since my teens. Wearing the ‘H’ on my shirt makes me proud every single day!”
Q: What advice would you give to a woman who wants to get into the automotive field?
A: “Go for it! Don’t be afraid—own it and take your place.”
Q: If you could drive any car, which one would you choose and why?
A: “Definitely the Civic Type R! But I’m also excited to see the new Prelude arrive at our dealerships.”
